In 2019, Hancock Gallery opened its doors with a vision to become a vibrant hub for artistic expression and creativity. Little did we know that just a few months later, we would face unprecedented challenges with the onset of the global pandemic. Despite these setbacks, as we reflect on the past five years, we are humbled by the journey and inspired by what we have achieved.
At Hancock Gallery, diversity and inclusivity are at the heart of what we do. We've welcomed a diverse array of artists through our doors, each bringing their unique perspective and style to our exhibitions. From the vibrant energy of events like Shaun on the Tyne to the intimate creativity of our Paint and Sip workshops, we've strived to offer something for everyone, fostering a sense of community and connection through art.
Throughout our journey, Hancock Gallery has been privileged to host numerous successful exhibitions, each one a testament to the talent and dedication of the artists we represent. We've had the honour of showcasing renowned artists such as Mark Demsteader, Petra Schott, and SJ Fuerst, whose works have engaged audiences and left an indelible mark on our gallery.
One of our proudest moments came with the sell-out collection of works by the iconic artist, L.S. Lowry.
